The recent launch of the 'cheaper' carbureted variant of the Pulsar 220 has sent shock waves in the premium biking segment. Some of us even pondered over existence of the smaller Pulsar 200 now. The new 2009 Pulsar 220 with more power and goodies sells for just a little more than the 200 - wouldn't that effect the sales of the younger sibling was our question. The answer however has come our way quickly. Bajaj has officially pulled off the Pulsar 200 from the manufacturing lines citing that it made no sense for them to sell it anymore when buyers were getting lured by the improved and rocking value for money Pulsar 220. The company sold 48,062 units of the complete Pulsar range in June 2009 and is looking forward to improve this number for July 2009.
